Last week I gave you my top 4 tips for eating healthier fast food. If you know these strategies you can almost always grab something healthy on the go. For those of you who just want to be told what to order, today’s post is for you. Below I’ve given you two healthy options at 10 popular fast food chains (although if you know these strategies, you can definitely find more than two healthy options at each place).
My fast food restaurant of choice is Taco Bell because they make it easy: you can order anything on their Fresco menu (low fat and low calorie) or order anything on their menu “Fresco style” and they’ll replace high fat items with pico de gallo. Some of their regular menu items are good choices too – like the ones I’ve listed below. Wendy’s is a close second because they also have a lot of healthy options.
Taco Bell: burrito supreme or chicken/steak/beef soft tacos
Wendy’s: chili and baked potato or Ultimate Grilled Chicken Sandwich
Panda Express: panda bowl with brown rice and broccoli beef or string bean chicken (the panda bowl comes with 1 entrée)
McDonalds: Premium Grilled Chicken Classic Sandwich with no mayo or Southwest Salad with grilled chicken
Arbys: Santa Fe Salad With Grilled Chicken or Grilled Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich without mayo
Jack in the Box: Southwest chicken salad or chicken teriyaki bowl
Burger King: Whopper Jr. with no mayo or a veggie burger
Carl’s Jr.: Grilled Chicken Sandwich or Charbroiled Chicken Salad
KFC: grilled chicken breast with mashed potatoes and corn on the cob or grilled chicken drumsticks with no skin and green beans
Chic-fil-A: Chargrilled Chicken Cool Wrap or grilled chicken sandwich
